As required by the Washington State Constitution, Article II, Section 15, the Okanogan County Republican Central Committee will hold a meeting on Sunday, March 22, 2026 at the Elks Lodge, 110 Ash St. South, Omak WA for the purpose of nominating three republican candidates to fill the interim position of Okanogan County Sheriff. The meeting will begin at 1:00 p.m. All Precinct Committee Officers are encouraged to attend.
The Central Committee is requesting that all interested and qualified candidates for the interim position of Okanogan County Sheriff request an application packet from ocrpcoms@gmail.com. Packets need to be completed and returned to that email address no later than 3 p.m. Friday, March 20, 2026. PCOs will be provided copies of the completed application packets after applications close.
All applicants are encouraged to attend the annual OCRP Lincoln Day dinner on Saturday, March 21, 2026. The social hour scheduled from 3:30 – 5:30 p.m. prior to the program will be a great opportunity for the public and PCOs to meet the candidates and get better acquainted with them.
