I’m extremely honored that you have chosen me to represent you and your interests in the Legislature. Please know that I will work tirelessly on your behalf and will represent you with honor, dignity and respect.
My priority is to implement policies that will help our private sector create jobs. Excessive regulations, continued increases in workers’ compensation and unemployment insurance rates, escalating minimum wage costs, and onerous business & occupation taxes have made Washington a difficult place to do business. We must not only rein in government spending, we need to get out of the way of entrepreneurs in this state and our small businesses that will help lead families to prosperity.
Please feel free to send me an e-mail or contact my Olympia office at (360) 786-7612 to express your opinions, ideas and concerns. If you’re interested in receiving e-mail updates during session, click the link on the bottom of this page that says “Subscribe to my newsletter.”
It is a pleasure and a privilege to serve you.

State Senator

It is such an honor to serve you and fight for our rural way of life in the state Legislature. Our values and priorities are at the forefront of every decision I make on your behalf in Olympia.
Northeast Washington has some of the most beautiful scenery, bountiful resources and hearty people in the nation. My efforts will focus on bringing back the economic advantages our natural resources once provided to our local communities while still protecting the beauty and wonder of this place where we raise our children and bury our loved ones. In addition, I intend to show the rest of Olympia what it means to be Seventh District strong! We have calluses on our hands, mud on our boots, and joy in our hearts because we know we work hard for everything we have.
Should you ever have a problem with a state agency or need assistance in dealing with state government bureaucracy, please contact my office. I'm here to help. I work for you!

I will be focusing on a variety of issues in the Legislature. Serving as a Chelan County Commissioner for four terms, I bring a voice to the Legislature for cities and counties. I am committed to ensuring our local governments are getting the resources needed to perform the services required of them by the state. We must also protect the economic vitality of our district – agriculture and water. The 12th District is a special place for tourism and has a number of intriguing places to visit. I will work to promote the entire region as we continue to encourage more diversity in the activities provided and support the existing attractions so we can continue to reinvest in our communities. Finally, we must show fiscal responsibility with the state budget, allow businesses to be productive without fighting excessive regulations and provide a quality education for our children.
Please feel free to contact me with questions, ideas or comments on the issues affecting you. We all want to make the 12th District and Washington a better place to live, work, and raise a family.
Thank you for the opportunity to represent you in Olympia. I am honored and privileged to represent such a great district.

Brad grew up in the Wenatchee Valley and received his K-12 education in the Wenatchee School District. After graduating magna cum laude from Central Washington University, he completed his Master’s in Public Administration at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. Brad returned to the Wenatchee Valley after graduation. He and his wife, Shawna, live in East Wenatchee with their two young children.
He has been active in his community, serving on the North Central Educational Service District Board of Directors, Wenatchee Valley YMCA Board of Directors, and the Eastmont School Board, including two years as school-board president.
Brad began serving the people of the 12th District in the Legislature in 2013. His legislative priorities focus on the essential services of government: education, transportation and public safety. As a former school-board member, he believes quality public schools and higher-education institutions can prepare a workforce to help the economy prosper. Maintaining state roads and bridges are vital to transporting the 12th District’s world-class agricultural products. He believes providing necessary law enforcement, judicial oversight and corrections will help maintain a safe environment for our businesses and families. Brad supports state budgeting efforts that are aligned to deliver these services in the most cost-effective manner possible.
It's an honor to represent the great people of North Central Washington. In addition to my work at the Legislature, I've served as the executive director for the Lake Chelan Chamber of Commerce for more than 12 years. I also oversee the company finances and payroll for my family's 112-year-old orchard business.
My legislative priorities include creating a more friendly business climate in our region and throughout the state. Small businesses have a difficult time absorbing health insurance costs, dealing with burdensome regulations, and paying heavy B&O taxes. That needs to change. We must focus on public policy that allows businesses to thrive and job creators to prosper.
Despite our region's prosperity, buying a home and raising a family has become far too expensive. We must do more to make life affordable. That's why I'm committed to reducing tax burdens and supporting efforts to reduce the rising costs of buying, building or renting a home.
Additionally, I remain a strong supporter for greater educational and scholastic opportunites for all students in our state, along with increased access for those interested in career and technical training.
As your state representative, it's my job to listen, help and be your voice in Olympia. That's why your input is critical. Please contact me if you have ideas, concerns or questions about state government-related issues. I'm always glad to hear from you!
